Welcome!

We all face challenges and difficulties in life and need help to find balance.  You have landed in the right place! Due to barriers to mental health services, our goal is to change the stigma of mental health by providing easier access to mental health treatment.  Individuals experience barriers such as stress, lack of community, lack of resources, cultural stigmas about mental health, discrimination, lack of culturally competent care and lack of insurance coverage.  To help decrease the disparities, we aim to be available, accessible and provide quality mental health services.

We operate according to the SAMHSA framework of trauma informed care which involves 6 principles: Safety, Trustworthiness and Transparency, Peer Support, Collaboration and Mutuality, Empowerment, Voice and Choice, and Cultural, Historical and Gender Issues.

Safety

Creating a space where clients and staff feel physically and psychologically safe

Trustworthiness and Transparency

Decisions are conducted with transparency to build and maintain trust

Peer Support

Relating to those with lived experiences to build hop, trust, collaboration, recovery and healing

Collaboration and Mutuality

Recognizing that everyone has a role to play in healing from trauma with the focus of partnering with others to include client, staff, and outside organizations and resources.

Empowerment, Voice and Choice

Individuals strengths and experiences are recognized and built upon using shared decision making, choice, goal setting, and self-advocacy skills

Cultural, Historical and Gender Issues

Incorporates policies, protocol and process that are responsive to racial, ethnic, and

cultural needs of individuals services
